DAY 1: VILNIUS

Arrive in Vilnius. Transfer to the hotel. Check-in. Overnight in Vilnius.


DAY 2: VILNIUS

Have a breakfast at hotel.

Enjoy a private guided tour in historical Vilnius Old Town (2hrs)

Vilnius, often called a Baroque city, reveals layers of Gothic and Renaissance influence in its architecture. Surrounded by lush parks, rivers, and hills, the city offers a unique harmony between history and nature. Let the guide immerse you in Vilnius’ captivating atmosphere.
Experience the rich history of Vilnius on a private 2-hour walking tour through its majestic Old Town, one of Eastern Europe’s largest. Explore landmarks like Cathedral Square with  the bell tower, the Palace of the Dukes (exterior), and admire from far the Gediminas Hill. Stroll along the picturesque Pilies Street to the oldest University in Lithuania Vilnius University, passing the elegant St. John’s Church and the charming Literatų Street. Admire the Gothic masterpiece of St. Anne’s Church (exterior), discover Town Hall Square. You will also see the President’s Palace (exterior) and the historical Gate of Dawn.

Have impressions of Christmas Market in Vilnius, by visiting little stalls, lighted Christmas tree and warming up by a cup of hot wine.

Impressive 25 m high Christmas tree with lots of flashing lights, decorations, Christmas toys, and lighting of it stands at the Cathedral Square and is promising great entertainment. Usually, at the Cathedral Square during December there are a seasonal Christmas town built, where visitors will be able to feast their eyes at hand-made pottery, glass products, jewelry and specially made sweets such as chestnuts, gingerbread or mulled wine as well as purchase Christmas presents, made by various craftsmen. 

Have an overnight in Vilnius.



DAY 3: VILNIUS - RUNDALE PALACE - RIGA

Have breakfast at the hotel. Check out and have a private transfer to Riga on the way visit beautiful Rundale Palace.

Have a 1,5hrs private tour at Rundale Palace that is one of the most visited sights in Latvia. Rundale Palace, once the summer residence of the Duke of Courland Ernst Johann Biron, is one of the most outstanding monuments of Baroque and Rococo art in Latvia. Built from 1736 to 1740 the palace was designed by outstanding Italian architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli, the creator of the Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg. The splendid interior of the palace dazzled contemporaries. Crystal chandeliers, silk wallpaper, sculptures, luxurious tiled fireplaces, mirrors, elegant galleries and refined colors and frescos were made by Italian artists Francesco Martini and Carlo Zucci.

Continue to drive to Riga.

DAY 4: RIGA

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Enjoy a private walking tour (2 hrs) through Riga Old Town by seeing the most remarkable sights like St. Peter's Church with a famous rooster, St. Jacobs Church, Dom Square, and St. Dom Cathedral.
The Powder Tower and city walls will make you feel the breath of the medieval. The guide will show and tell you about the oldest stone residential dwellings in Riga - the Three Brothers, the Great and Small Guilds were the central homes of two wealthy families of tradesmen and craftsmen, the fortification wall of Riga with the Swedish Gate - the only surviving gate to be found. The guide will introduce you with an interesting story of Cat House and will show you Town Hall Square with beautiful and elegant Blackheads House, which will delight lovers of glory. The tour will take visitors to Riga Castle, which was founded in 1330 but today serves as the official residence of the President of Latvia, the building of Parliament, the Monument of Liberty and fantastic Opera House. 

The guide will also tell you a story about the very first Christmas tree. The legend says that is was here – in Riga!

Have a moment of peace and enjoy the Christmas spirit with organ concert for 20 minutes in Riga Dom Cathedral, where is placed one of the largest organ in the world.

Visit Christmas market Old Town Christmas Market will ensure all those loving delicious traditional treats - mulled wine, gingerbread, roasted almonds, Christmas tea as well as delicious smoked meats and meat products. The Christmas Market will offer a wide range of Latvian handcraft for Christmas gifts - patterned mittens, skillfully turned wooden candlesticks, jarred sunny-smelling Latvian honey, sweet-smelling wax candles, handmade warm socks, hats and scarfs, amber and silver jewelry. A sweet and spiced hot wine will warm you up for another round in narrow cable streets of Riga Old Town.

Have an overnight in Riga.



DAY 5: RIGA - TALLINN

After breakfast in hotel check out and have a transfer to Tallinn (4.5 hrs).

Arrive in Tallinn in lunch time and check-in. Have a free afternoon to discover Christmas market in medieval Tallinn Old Town.

Feel the real fairy tale ambience of Tallinn Old Town by having Christmas feast in medieval style restaurant.

Have an overnight in Tallinn.  

 

DAY 6: TALLINN

Have a breakfast at hotel.

Enjoy a private guided tour (2hrs) in the UNESCO heritage listed Tallinn’s Old Town with a town wall with 26 defense towers.  During the tour exploring Holy Spirit Church, the 600 years old Gothic Town Hall, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the world`s oldest functioning Pharmacy on the Town Hall Square and the 159 meters high Oleveste Church which was the highest structure in the world in the 16th century. Visit the Toompea Hill which offers breathtaking views over the city. Toompea Castle, built in the 13th and 14th centuries, and which is the seat of the nation`s parliament.

Have a free time for ice skating or Christmas Market visit. Take wonderful photos and to buy souvenirs.

Overnight in Tallinn.

 

DAY 7: TALLINN – ROVANIEMI (LAPLAND)

After breakfast check out. Transfer to Tallinn International Airport.

Have a flight to Lapland, Rovaniemi.

Arrival at Rovaniemi, transfer to hotel, check in.

KOTA DINNER AT OUNASVAARA CHALETS (19:00 - 21:00/21:30) (available on Thursdays)
Traditional dinner in a traditional setting – enjoy an evening of Lapland food and culture.

Experience a traditional Kota dinner by the open fire! Forget about the hustle and bustle and relax by enjoying traditional Finnish delicacies in a genuine Lappish hut. Your evening starts with slowly cooked salmon, followed by Lappish traditional reindeer stew with mashed potatoes. After the main course, delicious pancakes will be prepared by the open fire. You may even fry your own pancake! A limited selection of wines, beers and beverages are available for purchase on the spot.

DAY 8: LAPLAND (ROVANIEMI)

Have breakfast at the hotel.

REINDEER AND HUSKY EXPERIENCE (11:00 – 14:00) (available on Mon, Wed, Fri & Sun)  

Meet two furry arctic favorites on one trip –and take rides with both!

They love the cold and live peacefully in northern nature. Come and meet these animals of the Arctic! First, you will get to visit a local reindeer farm and learn about Lappish culture and reindeer husbandry. Then, it's time to sit back in a reindeer-drawn sleigh and enjoy a peaceful 30-minute ride through the forest. You'll be issued an international Reindeer Driving License before entering the next part of your adventure: a husky kennel! At the kennel, you can try a slightly faster 20-minute ride with the huskies. After the ride, the flames of campfire and hot drinks keep you warm while learning more about these amazing animals. Transfers are done by car

WHITE SILENCE ON SNOWSHOES (14:30 – 17:30) (available on Tue & Fri)
A guided adventure through the picturesque snowy landscapes. 

Capture the true feeling of the Arctic in the northern woods. A snowshoe adventure through the picturesque snowy countryside. Experience the silence and beauty of wintery forests on this guided snowshoe hike. Have a break by an open fire and enjoy some snacks while the only sound you’ll hear is the south of the forest and the campfire.

Have a free evening on your own or for extra activities.

DAY 9: ROVANIEMI (LAPLAND)

REINDEER SAFARI TO SANTA’S VILLAGE (9:30 – 13:30) (available on Tue, Thu & Sat) 
What better way to travel to Santa Claus than in a sleigh pulled by a reindeer?

Lapland is well-known for Santa Claus and his reindeer. What a great way to see both by joining us for a reindeer safari to the Santa Claus Village! Sitting in the sleigh pulled by the reindeer we make our way from the Reindeer Farm to Santa’s Village along the snowy trails of the wintry forest. In the village we have some free time to meet Santa in his office, send postcards from the Santa Claus Main Post Office and explore handicraft and souvenir shops. Awarded a Reindeer Driving Licence and a Certificate for Crossing the Arctic Circle, you will not forget this experience. Transfers are done by car.

AURORA BOREALIS ADVENTURE (20:00 – 24:00) (available on Wed & Fri)
An excursion to a prime Northern Lights viewing spot followed by a slice of local history 

After stepping out of the car in the middle of the Lappish wilderness, you’ll proceedto a riverwhileexperiencing the surrounding tranquil nature. To witnessthe northern skyat its finest, you get to reach the best possible spot.But,be patient,as the auroras love playing hide-and-seek. Younever know when they might show up! While enjoying the peace of nature, you can fry sausages surrounded by the warmthof the fire. Next,your journey swingsby a cosy old building “Poro-Pekan Pirtti”. Here you’ll get a trip to the past of Lapland by the welcoming hosts of the house. This relaxing escape will satisfy all your senses!Transfer to the wilderness and back by car (50 km one way).
