DAY 1: TALLINN

Arriving from your chosen airport to Tallinn - the capital of Estonia. Have a private transfer to the hotel and check-in. Overnight in Tallinn. 

DAY 2: TALLINN 

Have a breakfast at hotel.

Tallinn Old Town is known for its well-preserved and authentic medieval architecture. Thanks to its enchanting atmosphere, rich cultural scene and beautiful surroundings Tallinn Old Town was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997. Known as Reval from the 13th century, nowadays Tallinn is the capital and the largest city of Estonia. Estonia was the Presidency country of the Council of the European Union and a European Capital of Culture in 2011.

Charming and cozy Tallinn attracts with fairytale spires, upper and lower part, narrow cobblestone streets, fortification structure with impressive towers from the 13th century and small hidden courtyards and passageways.

Enjoy a private walking tour through Tallinn Old Town (2hrs). During the tour explore Holy Spirit Church, the 600 years old Gothic Town Hall, a splendid Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the world`s oldest functioning Pharmacy on Town Hall Square and the 159 meters high Oleveste Church which was the highest structure in the world in the 16th century. Visit Toompea Hill for breathtaking views over the city, famous Viru Gate and stroll by Gothic style merchants’ houses. Toompea Castle was built in the 13th and 14th centuries and is the seat of Estonia`s parliament. During the tour, your guide will tell legends and stories about UNESCO World Heritage Listed  Tallinn.

Visit Open Air Museum Rocca al Mare (2,5-3hrs) where can see rural architecture and learn how the local people used to live and work during the 17th – the 19th century. The vast, forested park is filled with twelve model farmyards which will give you a quick overview of the life of a typical Estonian farmer family a few centuries ago. Just like in a real village, there is a church, a school, mills, a fire station, fishermen’s net sheds, and a pub named “Kolu Kõrts,” with staff demonstrating how people lived and worked in times past.

DAY 3: TALLINN – TARTU

Have breakfast at the hotel. Check out and have a private transfer to Tartu 185 km from the capital city Tallinn. The first written records of Tartu date from 1030 when the town was known as Terbata. Tartu is the second largest town of Estonia and nowadays it is famous as the university city. Tartu is the intellectual capital of Estonia where national awareness and the culture was born with the idea of Estonian National Song Celebration and Estonian theater.

Have a private Tartu sightseeing (2 hrs).

Visit Tartu Old Town and Town Hall Square which has been the city’s most important marketplace since the 18th century. A wide variety of events are held at the square these days, including the Christmas Market, St. Mary’s Fair in autumn and the Hanseatic Days in summer. During the tour, you will see the former Dome Church, medieval St. John’s Church, the Old Anatomicum, the Supreme Court and the Angel and Devil bridges. Walk through Toomemägi Park, established in 1805 and enjoy a blend of design and classical architecture. See the building of the University of Tartu founded in 1632 by Swedish king Gustav II Adolf. The University of Tartu is symbolized by its main building and it's six white columns which embodies the spirit of Greek architecture.

Visit Tartu Observatory - the first point for the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Struve Geodetic Arc. The Struve Geodetic Arc is a chain of survey triangulations stretching from Hammerfest in Norway to the Black Sea, through ten countries and over 2,820 km, which yielded the first accurate measurement of a meridian. The chain was established by the German-born Russian scientist Friedrich Georg Wilhelm von Struve from 1816 to 1855 to establish the exact size and shape of the earth. Tartu Observatory is the place where Struve conducted much of his research.
In 2005, the chain was inscribed on the World Heritage List as an ensemble made up of 34 commemorative plaques or obelisks representing the original 265 main station points, which are marked by drilled holes in rocks, iron crosses, cairns other symbols.

DAY 4: TARTU – RIGA

Have breakfast at the hotel. Check out and drive to Riga - the capital of Latvia. Riga was a major center of the Hanseatic League and became an important industrial center in the 19th century, when the suburbs surrounding the medieval town were laid out, first with imposing wooden buildings in neoclassical style and then with the finest collection of Art Nouveau buildings in Europe. In 1997 Riga’s historical city center with Riga Old Town, Art Nouveau area and Riga Central Market was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Have a private walking tour through Riga Old Town (2hrs) seeing remarkable sites like St.Peter's Church with its famous rooster, St.Jacobs Church, impressive Dom Square and Dom Cathedral, home to one of the world's most valuable historic organs. Stroll by the dwelling houses called the Three Brothers, which are preserved from the 15th, 17th and 18th centuries. The guide will tell you about the Great and Small Guilds, the Powder Tower and the fortification wall of Riga with the Swedish Gate the last surviving gate in the wall. The guide will introduce you to the intriguing story of the Cat House and show you Town Hall Square with the beautiful and elegant Blackheads House. The tour will pass the Riga Castle - the official residence of the Latvian President, the Parliament, the Monument of Freedom and fantastic Latvian national Opera House.

DAY 5: RIGA

Have breakfast at the hotel. Have a private guided tour to the outstanding Art Nouveau area (2hrs).
Developed between the end of 19th century till very beginning of 20th century Art Nouveau architecture in Riga is unique and well-preserved gem included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. The imagination without boundaries, remarkable work of sculptor and fine sense of taste are base pillars of Art Nouveau architecture at central quarters of the city.
During the tour guide will show the most gorgeous and spectacular samples of Art Nouveau and will point out three different sub-styles and signs characterizing each of them. Splendid Art Nouveau architecture of Riga will make you fall in love or disturb, but it won`t leave you without emotions.

Visit the Art Nouveau Museum located in the apartment where the outstanding Latvian architect Konstantins Peksens (Konstantīns Pēkšēns) (1859 - 1928) lived until 1907. The building housing the Art Nouveau Museum was constructed in 1903 as K. Peksens’ private residence. The building is notable for its extremely powerful dimensions and expressive silhouette. The ornamental reliefs, craftily incorporated in the architectonic shape, feature stylized motifs from the local flora and fauna such as pine cones and squirrels. The Art Nouveau staircase is among the most impressive not only in Riga but the whole of Europe. The 1903 interior has been renovated in the museum. The current display of the museum shows the characteristic furnishings of a Riga apartment at the beginning of the 20th century.

Continue the tour to colorful Riga Central Market (1-1.5hrs)
Housed in five German zeppelin hangars the Central Market was opened in 1930 as the largest and the most progressive marketplace in Europe. Here travelers can find a wide range of fresh local products - vegetables, dairy products, meat, fish and grocery delivered from farms and get closer to Latvian cuisine`s traditions. Riga Central Market has over 3000 trade stands and there are open areas with manufactured goods and Farmer’s night market.

DAY 6: RIGA – KLAIPEDA

Have breakfast at the hotel. Check out and have a private transfer to Klaipeda (4.5 hrs). After arrival check in to the hotel and have a free time for the lunch. 

After lunch have a private Klaipeda walking tour (2hrs). The tour will pass the Theatre Square dominated by the statue of Ann from Tharau which is the subject of a famous German wedding and love song and is named after the 17th-century German poet, born in Klaipeda. The guide will take you around narrow alleyways with attractive courtyards, art galleries, cafes and small boutiques, blocks of lattice-work buildings, and old warehouse reflecting the influence of Germanic architecture of the Hanseatic period. During the sightseeing, you will pass by the reconstructed Yacht Marina and the Dane River promenade and will have impressions of modern Klaipeda and its skyscrapers.

DAY 7: KLAIPEDA – CURONIAN SPIT – KLAIPEDA

Have breakfast at the hotel. Have a private tour to Curonian Spit (~6hrs) - a 98 km long, thin, curved sand-dune spit that separates the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea coast and was formed about 3rd millennium BC. The Curonian Spit was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000. 
A glacial moraine served as its foundation; winds and sea currents later contributed enough sand to raise and keep the formation above sea level. Take a 10 minutes ferry trip to the Curonian Spit - a real natural wonder - the highest sand dunes in Europe.

Curonian Spit is an unforgettable place, with amazing wild nature, kilometers of white, beautiful sand dunes, pine forests, and unspoiled beaches. Visit the Hill of Witches with wooden sculptures of witches, devils and fairy tale monsters placed along forest paths while the guide will tell you some of the old legends. Continue the tour to Nida which attracts with the impressive 52 meters high Great Dune and a magnificent panoramic view to the Baltic Sea, traditional fishing boats and old fishermen cottages. On the way, you will see an old cemetery and neo-gothic church. Enjoy peaceful relaxation in nature away from modern life.

Return and overnight in Klaipeda.

DAY 8: KLAIPEDA – KERNAVE - VILNIUS

Have breakfast at the hotel. Check out and have a private transfer from Klaipeda to Vilnius with a stop at Kernave— Archaeological Site.

Kernave — was the medieval capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and today is an archeological site and small village with 318 inhabitants. The area of Kernave — was sparsely populated at the end of the Paleolithic era. The town was first mentioned in 1279, when, as the capital of the Grand Duke Traidenis, it was besieged by the Teutonic Knights. In 1390 the Knights burned the town and the castle in the Valley, therefore, the remaining residents moved to the top of the hill instead of staying in the valley. In later years, the remains of the city were covered with an alluvial earth layer that formed wet peat and therefore Kernave — was called the "Troy of Lithuania". Kernave — Archaeological Site was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2004.

Continue to Vilnius. Overnight in Vilnius.

DAY 9: VILNIUS

Have breakfast at the hotel.

Enjoy a private walking tour through Vilnius Old Town (2hrs) which was included in UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994.

The tour will bring you to the Cathedral Square with impressive Vilnius Cathedral. On the way you will see Clock-Tower, St. Anne’s Church, Town Hall Square and Vilnius University, the Gates of Dawn with the holy image of the Virgin Mary. The tour will pass Town Hall, Vilnius University and the Presidential Palace. During the tour, your guide will also show you Gediminas Castle and Tower and interesting Uzupis district. Vilnius is often called a Baroque city. However, the ruins of castles, narrow streets, church spires, bell towers, red tile roofs, and residential cellars testify that Vilnius has had major influence from the Gothic style.  

Have an overnight in Vilnius.

DAY 10: VILNIUS

Have breakfast at the hotel. Check out and have a private transfer to Vilnius Airport for departure.
